April is the month of reawakening. April has a way of making everything new and exciting, and there’s no better place to bloom than in Middleburg!
New editions of Foxes on the Fence, Easter celebrations, and a brand-new rural preservation summit are just a sampling of the community’s offerings this month. Check out the highlights below and click the links for all the details. Our teeny tiny town is ready!
Foxes on the Fence Returns to Middleburg: April 1-May 13
Foxes and hounds and hares, oh my!
The Town of Middleburg transforms into a walking art exhibit with painted foxes, hounds and hares from April 1- May 13, 2023.
Bid on your favorite critter masterpieces in the online auction from April 2 at Noon until May 13. Winners may pick up their critters after 4 pm at Art in the ‘Burg on May 13. All proceeds support Middleburg Beautification and Preservation and the Middleburg Arts Council.
Easter Festivities: April 9
Some bunny has a lot of celebrating to do this Easter in Middleburg! Easter feasts and festivities are ongoing throughout Middleburg this April, including:
- Easter Bunny Experience at Salamander Resort & Spa
- Easter Egg Hunt at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant
- Easter Brunch at Boxwood Estate Winery, Goodstone, Lost Barrel, Market Salamander and Salamander Resort & Spa.
Loudoun Together: A Strategy for Our Future: April 11
Join a summit of community leaders on the challenges facing Loudoun County and a discussion on how east and west can come together to preserve our future.
Tickets are $25 per person – breakfast and lunch are included. All ticket proceeds are being donated to Seven Loaves Services.

Middleburg Community Center April Events
Are you ready, Middleburg? The Middleburg Community Center’s recently released Calendar of Events is simply overflowing with all manner of fun things to do in The ‘Burg!
The 2023 Concert Series kicks off April 7, followed by The New Neighbors Club Cocktail Party April 20 and Slow Food Vast Wine dinner April 29. From the Earth Creative has an expanded series of workshops at the Makers Space, and you’ll never be out of shape again with the regular exercise classes offered Monday-Friday.

April Jump Racing at Glenwood Park: The Middleburg Spring Races & The Middleburg Hunt Point-to-Point
Spring Steeplechase Season is thundering on in April, with two of Glenwood Park’s signature race meets: The Middleburg Spring Races (April 22) and the Middleburg Hunt Point-to-Point (April 30).
Be a part of the excitement, pageantry and fun! Bring the entire family and join in the tailgate and hat competitions or pack a picnic and spend the afternoon(s) relaxing and taking in the best views in Virginia steeplechase racing.

Town Clean-Up and Arbor Day Celebration April 29
We love our town, and we love our trees!
Middleburg will celebrate Arbor Day with the Sustainability Committee Spring Town Clean-Up and Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
Clean Up Day begins with breakfast from Salamander Resort & Spa at 7:45 am before Clean-Up groups begin work. Email msc@middleburgva.gov with any questions about the Clean-Up project!
The Arbor Day Program begins at 9 am at Middleburg Community Charter School and include a poster contest, tree planting and refreshments.
