MBPA Members and guests gathered under the perfect evening skies for the Bizz Buzz hosted by McEnearney Associates on June 13, 2023.

“This wonderful building, now home to McEnearney Associates, was known as Miss Anna Duffy’s House,” said MBPA President Punkin Lee. “This is one of the few remaining early 19th century dwellings on the West side of town. The Duffy family lived here from pre-Civil War to early 20th century. Ed Duffy operated a jewelry store and newsstand across the street, and it was verified that he was the last person to fire shot at the Battle of Gettysburg.”

“I have really enjoyed the Biz Buzzes for quite a while now, and so thank Punkin and her group for all they do, and all they bring to Middleburg,” said hostess Candice Bower of McEnearney Associates. “McEnearney was established in 1980 in Alexandria, VA, a retired naval captain decided to get his license and opened up an office, which has been thriving ever since. And since then, we’ve had the opportunity to be in other places and bring in new offices and be able to provide our clients as the best that we can. He never wanted to be the biggest, he just wanted to be the best, and we feel that way that really our service is unparalleled and that our clients always come first.”
