The March Biz Buzz brought the local business community together for an engaging evening at Salamander Middleburg, where conversation, connection, and collaboration held the spotlight. There’s something special about walking into a room where you already know a few faces and are guaranteed to leave knowing a few more.

That was the spirit of March’s Biz Buzz at Salamander Middleburg, where the Middleburg Business and Professional Association gathered local professionals for an evening that felt less like formal networking and more like catching up with neighbors who genuinely want to see each other succeed.

MBPA Updates
“Thank you to everyone who has renewed their membership and thank you to all of the new members,” said Punkin Lee, MBPA President. “If you have been a bit remiss in renewing, now is the time, as your business will come off the website at the end of March. We will happily add you back once you renew.”

Punkin continued, “The Middleburg Postmaster has agreed to again display the monthly events cards for the community! The cards are in the window in a display container above the recycling bins.”

Please take the cards when you are at the Post Office. This will make it so much easier for residents to keep informed of everything

A special thank you goes to board member Kari Bowman Leslie for leading the recent MBPA Member Survey. With input from the Board, she developed a thoughtful survey and compiled the results into a clear summary.

“We thank you all for your replies, which were very helpful and showed much thought and interest,” Punkin said.

One theme came through loud and clear: social media. Many businesses are looking for ways to make it easier, more effective, and to better understand how tools like AI can support your efforts. In response, MBPA will be putting together a list of helpful resources that you can use to tailor social media to your business needs, along with information on marketing and digital growth workshops.

There was also strong interest in building connections with local nonprofits. While MBPA member nonprofits are already listed on the website, we will be creating a printed resource and inviting these organizations to present at upcoming Biz Buzz events.

Salamander Middleburg was recently recognized by Southern Living as one of the best pet-friendly hotels in the South, a title locals know is well deserved.
