April, glorious April, is on her way to Middleburg and is bringing along a wide variety of reasons to celebrate spring in our little corner of the world!
April 20-27 marks the return of Virginia Historic Garden Week, celebrated throughout the Commonwealth, with a local stop at Oak Spring in Upperville on April 25 and 26. While the pollen may be swirling, we hope you’ll make a point to get outside and enjoy the longer days and sunnier skies at the Hill School Sporting Clays Invitational, The Middleburg Spring Races, The Middleburg Hunt Point-to-Point or the VPHA Unison Battlefield Trail Ride. Do not despair in the event of April showers, as the Upperville Garden Club’s Daffodil Show is at Buchanan Hall (April 2) and the NSLM’s new exhibit “Honoring the Point” opens April 12.

The collection presents a range of dog breeds and subject matter: gun dogs in the field, foxhounds, canine portraits, and even a charming scene of puppies observing a frog.
