A David vs. Goliath Battle to Protect Virginia’s Land, Water, and Communities

On March 19 at NSLM, Southern Environmental Law Center Virginia Director Sarah Francisco and Senior Attorney Greg Buppert join author Jonathan Mingle to discuss his book Gaslight: The Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Fight for America’s Energy Future and its relevance today.

The program will highlight SELC’s efforts to protect farms, forests, and communities from a risky methane gas pipeline while exploring lessons for current conservation and climate challenges. Attendees will receive a complimentary signed copy of Gaslight from SELC.

Spring Equinox Dinner at Slater Run

Celebrate the Spring Equinox with a three-course communal dinner by Provender Garden Kitchen, highlighting the best of the season, all paired with Slater Run wines.

The menu is based around the freshest ingredients from the Provender Garden. Please let Slater Run know of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance of the dinner, so they can better accommodate your dining experience. Vegan dinner may be accommodated if reservation is made and noted by the 16th.


Art of the Piedmont Auction Gala

Art of the Piedmont returns to Middleburg Community Center on March 28!

The Art of the Piedmont Gala not only celebrates the incredible talent of local artists but also supports the Middleburg Montessori School, which has been an integral part of the community for over 40 years. The school has long been dedicated to providing children with a rich and diverse education based on Maria Montessori’s unique philosophy, fostering creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. This year, over thirty talented artists will showcase their works, offering a fantastic opportunity for attendees to acquire beautiful art while contributing to a cause that benefits local education.

Whether you’re attending the Gala in person or supporting remotely, your participation directly helps further the Montessori school’s mission of providing a nurturing educational experience for future generations.

March 13: Official ribbon cutting celebration welcoming new business Just KADE on March 13 at 116 West Washington Street, Suite 202 at 4 pm. Just K.A.D.E. specializes in local, small batch artisan aromatherapeutic products.

April 12: Middleburg Wellness Day at Middleburg Community Center, 10 am- 2 pm.

April 26: Townwide Spring Clean Up Day, 8 am.

May 3: The Middleburg Farmers Market season begins, 9 am-12 pm.
