Join the Oak Spring Biodiversity Conservation Team for a winter bird count across the Oak Spring landscape. This guided morning walk will cover portions of the 700-acre property as participants count and record birds seen and heard, including species such as short-eared owls, northern harriers, and other winter residents.

Following National Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count protocols, this event contributes valuable data to Oak Spring’s ongoing biodiversity monitoring. While the library, garden, and main residence will not be toured, guests are welcome to visit the Gallery and Gift Shop afterward.

Expect several hours of moderate walking on uneven, hilly terrain. Please wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring water. Binoculars and cameras are encouraged.
