The National Sporting Library and Museum (NSLM) and The Wilderness Society (TWS) will host a cocktail reception and conversation featuring Tracy Stone‑Manning, President of TWS, and Bill Cronon, member of the TWS Governing Council. Founded in 1935, TWS has long been a leader in public lands defense and conservation. This program will highlight the organization’s significant historical achievements and its continued leadership shaping the future of conservation.

About the Speakers

Bill Cronon is an American environmental historian who served as the Frederick Jackson Turner and Vilas Research Professor of History, Geography, and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. A renowned scholar of the American West and environmental history, he is now professor emeritus and serves on the Governing Council of The Wilderness Society.

Tracy Stone‑Manning is the President of The Wilderness Society.
