Join Oak Spring Garden Foundation for a special screening of the award-winning documentary The Serengeti Rules, which explores the groundbreaking work of five heroic scientists who uncovered the fundamental rules that govern life on Earth—and how their discoveries are helping us restore degraded ecosystems around the globe. As we know, the animal kingdom can be as raw and dramatic as it is beautiful. Just a quick heads-up for our sensitive viewers that this documentary captures the true circle of life.

Before the film, bring the family for a hands-on, kid-friendly activity led by the Oak Spring Local Education and Outreach Team, exploring food webs, keystone species and conservation! Following the screening, stay for a conversation featuring Sir Peter Crane (President of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation) and Dr. Mark Madison (Chief Historian at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center), as they discuss the ecological principles highlighted in the film and their implications for modern conservation.

Schedule of Events:
2:00 – 3:00pm: Hands-on Kids Activity
3:00 – 4:30pm: Film Screening
4:30 – 5:00pm: Conservation discussion with Mark Madison & Peter Crane
