Join the fun in an exciting hands-on activity presented by the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in partnership with the Middleburg Library!
Kids (ages 6-11) and teens (ages 12-18) are invited to get creative and learn about mushrooms. Don’t miss out on this spore-tacular lesson on mushrooms and the opportunity to create your own mushroom log! Participants will learn how fungi help our environment. We’ll introduce mycelium, mushrooms, molds and yeast and drill and hammer spore plugs into freshly cut wood logs.
It’s a fun and free way to learn new skills, get artsy, and connect with the natural world.
Each month, OSGF hosts a different free, nature-inspired activity at local libraries, offering a unique opportunity for young minds to engage with the environment in fun, interactive ways. Don’t miss out on April’s event and be sure to follow us for each month’s new theme!
