The Middleburg Classic Horse Show was created by a small group of friends hoping to make an impact on the AIDS epidemic which had dramatically affected the horse show industry.

In 2025, the show celebrates its 32nd anniversary, at the Salem Farm Showgrounds in Upperville, September 17-21.

The show is run for the benefit of the Piedmont Environmental Council. The PEC’s mission is to protect and restore the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont, while building stronger, more sustainable communities.
