Join Oak Spring Garden Foundation’s Arboriculture, Conservation, and Landscapes (ACL) team for an in-depth, hands-on workshop focused on the theory and practice of managing invasive plant species. This workshop introduces core concepts, tools, and treatment strategies while providing practical field experience in identifying and applying effective management techniques.
Participants will begin with an overview of essential tools and approaches, followed by on-site demonstrations in the landscape. Topics will include:
Identification of common invasive plant species
Timing and application of various treatment methods
Challenges and considerations related to current and emerging invasive species
IMPORTANT: Please do not bring personal pruning tools or plant material.
Availability: This event will be capped at 20 participants. Registrations will be accepted on a rolling basis through Zeffy until full.
