Holiday Market in the Gallery

Date

Dec 02 2025

Time

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Oak Spring Garden Foundation invites guests to enjoy a festive shopping experience for the holiday season. Visitors are welcome to drop in during open hours and explore a curated selection of gifts and seasonal specialties.

The Gift Shop features favorites from the Biocultural Conservation Farm, including signature curry peach BBQ sauce and tomato chutney—ideal for holiday giving or seasonal entertaining.

A new limited-edition 2025 Christmas ornament debuts this year, showcasing a charming topiary in a pot inspired by the timeless elegance of founder Bunny Mellon.

In the Gallery, guests can view holiday-themed treasures from the Oak Spring Library alongside the current exhibition, The Final Resting Place of President John F. Kennedy: The Untold Story of a Lost Memorial.

The exhibition explores the rediscovery of a poignant but never fully realized memorial for President Kennedy’s gravesite—designed by Jean Schlumberger of Tiffany & Co., with support from Rachel “Bunny” Lambert Mellon at the request of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Archival materials from the Oak Spring Garden Library and artwork by Sara Lindsay, an alumna of the Foundation’s Artist in Residence Program, illuminate the story and the friendships behind it.

The Holiday Market will be open three consecutive Tuesdays in December from 3:00 – 6:00 pm: December 2, December 9 and December 16.

Please note, guests will not have access to the library, formal garden, or main residence.
