An Evening with the Artist

Art Exhibition & Sale | The Hill School | Sheila Johnson Performing Arts Center | October 23–25

Some of life’s greatest journeys begin with a teacher who recognizes potential before a child recognizes it in themselves.

For acclaimed Hunt Country artist Cathy Zimmerman, that journey began at The Hill School under the guidance of beloved art teacher Emily “Em” Sharpe. It was here that Cathy first discovered her love of painting and began developing the artistic talent that would become her life’s work.

This October, Cathy will return to campus for a very special Art Exhibition & Sale, showcasing a remarkable collection of her beloved watercolor paintings along with a never-before-exhibited collection of original oil paintings. The exhibition marks the public debut of Cathy’s newest body of work and offers collectors a rare opportunity to purchase these original oils for the first time.
