Local Events

The Town of Middleburg invites the public to attend a community-wide kick-off event celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary. This special event will honor the nation’s history while launching a year-long commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

The celebration will take place at the Middleburg Town Hall and the Middleburg Community Center and will feature ceremonial flag raisings, music by a fife and drum corps, a community parade, historical and civic presentations, and a reception with food and drink.

The event schedule is as follows:

4:30 PM — Opening Ceremony at the Town Hall flag poles (10 West Marshall Street)

5:00 PM — Parade to the Middleburg Community Center and America’s 250th Launch Moment on the Community Center steps (300 West Washington Street)

5:30 PM — Celebratory program begins inside the Middleburg Community Center

6:15 PM — Community Reception & Celebration

7:30 PM — Event Concludes

The event is free and open to the public, and residents of all ages are encouraged to attend.
