A Vision of Nature: American Women Artists opens at the National Sporting Library & Museum in Middleburg, VA, from October 2, 2025, to March 22, 2026. This is the ninth show in American Women Artists’ (AWA) “25 in 25” campaign to feature 25 museum exhibitions over 25 years.

The exhibit showcases 55 works by professional women artists, selected from 531 entries. Featured artists include Donna Howell-Sickles, Paula B. Holtzclaw, Carmen Drake, and Diana Reuter-Twining. Jurors include top women in arts leadership, and over $30,000 in awards will be given, including a $10,000 Grand Prize.

Works span painting, sculpture, and mixed media, reflecting themes like nature, wildlife, and country pursuits. The show aligns with the museum’s mission to celebrate land, sport, and conservation.

AWA, a nonprofit supporting woman in fine arts for over 30 years, launched the “25 in 25” to address gender imbalance—only 3–5% of museum collections feature women artists.
