Description

The Land Trust of Virginia is an accredited land trust headquartered in Middleburg, Virginia, that partners with landowners to place their properties under permanent conservation easement. Since 1992, this collaboration has protected tens of thousands of acres across 39 counties in the Commonwealth from building development, habitat loss, and environmental degradation.
This land includes wetlands, farms, forests, historic sites, and mountain land.
In Loudoun County alone, LTV has placed over 10,000 acres in permanent easement.
LTV’s stewardship obligations involve annual monitoring of properties, enforcing easement terms, maintaining constructive relationships with landowners, and partnering in the management of the land’s natural resources to uphold conservation goals in perpetuity.
