Things to Do in Middleburg this Weekend

“GASP: Great Art , Small Prices” at The Artists in Middleburg: Through Dec. 31

Visit the Artists in Middleburg through the end of the year for their latest exhibit, “GASP: Great Art, Small Prices.” The exhibit features works by artists within a 50-mile radius of Middleburg at prices up to $500. This is a great way to support local artists (and perhaps pick up the perfect gift or something you just have to have for your own home)!

Hearty Winter Soups & Breads Cooking Class at Salamander Resort & Spa: Nov. 23 | 2-4 p.m.

Learn how to make the perfect soups for your Thanksgiving dinner! From scratch, you will make ham biscuits, a whole wheat loaf, a broccoli bisque and butternut squash bisque. $79 per person. Reservations required; please call 540-326-4070. Prices do not include tax and gratuity.

Susan Strauss is a world renowned storyteller. Her storytelling spans many cultures, from the Native American Trickster-Fool, the Coyote, or tales of St. Francis, the Hassidic Bal Shem Tov, or Greek, Russian, Japanese, or Zufi traditions. True of great oral literature, these stories engage the wonder of the young while lighting the hearts of adults.

Santa Brunch at Salamander Resort & Spa: Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Dec. 14 & Dec. 21

Salamander’s most festive event of the year is back! Join us for their annual Santa Brunches each Saturday in December, plus the last Saturday of November.

The resort ballroom transforms into a winter wonderland where you can visit with Santa and his elves while enjoying a delicious brunch with sweet and savory holiday favorites for the entire family. The brunch also features a make-your-own holiday ornament designing station and photo opportunity with Santa!

$68 per adult, $38 per child. Reservations required; please call 540-326-4070. Prices do not include tax and gratuity.

Crafts & Cheer Holiday Market at Cana Vineyards & Winery of Middleburg: Dec. 1 | 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Join Cana for a full day of holiday festivities and good cheer! Craft activities and vendors, a special wine release, hot chocolate bar, photos with Santa from 1-3 p.m., and more!

Other featured activities include The Aviary Girls craft activity from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., The Cookie Momster cookie decorating class from 3-5 p.m., and cork ornament crafting.

Featured vendors include Classics by Cindy (jewelry), Femme Creative (custom wooden wine crate and barrel items), Paloma Blanca Ceramics (small batch functional pottery), Rachel Haan (wine bags, ornaments, home decor), Southern Concept LLC (wreaths, arrangements, home decor), and Noel Art (holiday-themed canvas art by teen Anna Petty).
