Middleburg Community CenterDinner and Late Swim at the Middleburg Community Center: July 21 | 6-8:30 p.m.

Part of the Doc Saffer Summer Series, made possible by The Luminescence Foundation. BBQ dinner & ice cream truck at 6 p.m. Pool open from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This is a free event, open to the public!

Sushi Rolling Class at Salamander Resort & Spa: July 22 | 2-4 p.m.

Learn the art of hand rolling and how to select the freshest fish from Salamander’s new sushi chef. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll be prepared to make great sushi at home whenever the craving arrives. $79 per person. For reservations, please call 540-326-4070.

Next week: Champagne Cocktails and Caviar Dreams! Create enchanting champagne cocktails paired perfectly with a selection of caviar for tasting. It will be the perfect activity for a stylish summer!

Twilight Tastings at Salamander Resort & Spa: July 22 | 6-10 p.m.

Tickets are still available for Salamander’s annual Twilight Tastings event! This much-anticipated festival is bigger and better this year with multiple wineries, breweries and distilleries ready for tasting. Salamander’s beautiful Equestrian Center again will be filled with the different refreshing libations while guests indulge in the chef’s culinary offerings and dance under the stars to live music.

Oyster Riot at Boxwood Estate Winery: July 23

To celebrate Boxwood Winery’s anniversary vintages in style, they’ve teamed up with King Street Oyster Bar for what is sure to be an incredible afternoon. Multiple courses of fresh seafood will each be complimented by the perfect Boxwood selection.

Open Late at the National Sporting Library & Museum: July 28 | 6-8 p.m.

Please bring your chairs and join us for great music by the Silver Tones Swing Band, family fun, and food from Hammerdown BBQ on the National Sporting Library & Museum lawn. Concerts and museum admission are free and open to the public 6-8 p.m. Picnics are welcome but no glass containers or outside alcohol is permitted. Cash bar featuring wine from Greenhill Winery & Vineyards and beer.

Twilight Jumpers at Great Meadow: July 28 | 7 p.m.

Bring your friends and family and enjoy a Friday night in the country watching equestrian riders compete for over $5,000 in prize money at Twilight Jumpers. The child/adult class begins at 7 p.m., followed immediately by the main class, where riders compete for bragging rights and a $5,000 cash prize. Bring food, drinks, picnics and enjoy a tailgate spot ringside where you can get right up close to the action. Stay after the riding to enjoy music and dancing in the outdoor pavilion. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and entry is $40 per car, which includes all occupants.
