Middleburg plans seminar series to address digital literacy gap
— Middleburg business owners looking to expand their online presence will have an opportunity to participate in a series of seminars aimed at addressing digital literacy. Jamie Gaucher, Middleburg’s Business and Economic Development Director, announced the workshops at the Middleburg Business and Professional Association’s monthly Biz Buzz networking event, held May 8 at Sonabank.
“One of the gaps that I’ve seen in the short time I’ve been here is really around what I refer to as digital literacy, how do people engage business via a digital medium,” Gaucher said.
The trainings will be led by Chris Bernard, who heads e-commerce for Lou Lou Boutiques and Creme de la Creme.
The Middleburg Business and Professional Association will also be hosting a job fair on May 16 at the Middleburg Community Center from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Businesses interested in participating should contact Jamie Gaucher at email@example.com or 540-687-5152.
