1. Visit Loudoun Wedding Open House: March 9-10
The Weddings in Loudoun Open House is a county-wide, self-guided tour that gives you a chance to visit wedding venues and meet with service professionals. The tour allows you to choose your stops and set your pace as you explore Loudoun’s countryside! Tour venues include Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn, Goodstone Inn & Restaurant and The Red Fox Inn & Tavern. Be sure to see the wonderful floral arrangements by Nature Composed when you’re at Goodstone Inn!
2. Chalk ‘N’ Cheers at Cana Vineyards: March 10 | Noon-3 p.m.
Come out to Cana for an afternoon of chalk art and wine! $35 includes a pallet board, silkscreen transfer, use of three chalk colors and a glass of wine.
3. 10th Annual MCC Senior Luncheon: March 14 | Noon-1:30 p.m.
Middleburg Community Center invites you to join us for the 10th annual Senior Luncheon. Come and enjoy a delicious lunch, bingo, and live jazz music! Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Please RSVP by March 10 to 540-687-6373 or olivia@middleburgcommunitycenter.com. This event is free and open to the public.
4. Haiku Poem of Spring at The Byrne Gallery: March 6-April 28
The Byrne Gallery presents “Haiku Poem of Spring: A Celebration of Cherry Blossom Season,” featuring woodblock prints by Tadashi Nakayama, watercolors and works on paper by Pang Tseng Ying and a plum blossom vintage kimono and textiles by Susie Lipscher. A reception will be held Saturday, March 16, from 5-8 p.m. Please RSVP to 540-687-6986.
5. Whiskey Pairing Dinner at Harrimans Virginia Piedmont Grill: March 16 | 6 p.m.
Join Harrimans for a special whiskey pairing dinner with select signature Harrimans dishes. Harrimans’ executive chef will be on-hand preparing and explaining how he creates the dishes while you enjoy each with Tullamore DEW, Bushmills Black Bush, and a Jameson flight of Jameson Original, Jameson Caskmates and Jameson Black Barrel. $89 per person. 6. Irish Whiskey Weekend at Gold Cup Wine Bar: March 16-17
Gold Cup is serving up a special menu all weekend long in honor of St. Patrick’s Day that will delight the Irish in all of us! Listen to an authentic Irish band each day starting at 2 p.m. while indulging in traditional Irish fare including corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, turkey reubens, and much more. Try their new whiskey menu and don’t forget the green beer! Take 25% off your Gold Cup food bill when you wear green on March 17!
7. St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at Market Salamander: March 16-17
Get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with Market Salamander’s corned beef and cabbage special for $10 per person. Also, don’t get pinched! Wear green in the market on St. Patrick’s Day and receive a free Clover Cookie while supplies last.
8. Middleburg HEALth Fair & 5K at the Middleburg Community Center: March 30 | 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Please join us for the next Middleburg HEALth Fair & 5K! Sign up to run the 5K here. Race registration and packet pickup starts at 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m., and the awards ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. The HEALth Fair will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., with a presentation on the power of music therapy by A Place to Be starting at 10:30 a.m. and a screening of the film “Styrofoam Mom” at 11:30 a.m.
9. Annual Kite Flight at Three Fox Vineyards: March 30
Bring your kite and join in the fun in the skies above Three Fox Vineyards. The vineyard always has great breezes in the spring for kite flying and they’re going to take advantage of them for some early springtime fun from 1-3 p.m. They’ll have prizes for the following categories: Best in Show, Most Time Aloft, Most Creative Kite, Youngest Kite Flyer, and Youngest at Heart. Judging begins at 3 p.m. Sexi Mexi food truck from 1-4 p.m.
10. Free Community Day at the National Sporting Library & Museum: March 31 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
NSLM offers free admission the last Sunday of each month. Join us in March to see highlights from their permanent collection!
11. Sipping for Sprout 2019: March 31 | Noon-4 p.m.
Please join Stone Tower Winery for the 7th Annual “Sipping for Sprout” fundraiser to support Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center! This event is a family-oriented fun day that will consist of wine and beer tasting for the adults, local food, music, activities for the children and a bountiful silent auction, all enjoyed while in the beautiful Virginia countryside!
