— The Middleburg Business and Professional Association expects to hold its first in-person meetup since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic on Aug. 10 at Salamander Resort & Spa, the site of its last in-person Biz Buzz in 2020.

MBPA President Punkin Lee announced the resumption of the in-person networking meetings at a virtual Biz Buzz, held June 8 at Knead Wine.

Also coming in August: Middleburg’s eagerly anticipated Summer Sidewalk Sale. The Aug. 6-8 sale, which coincides with Virginia’s sales tax holiday, features discounts of up to 75% off at stores throughout town.

Other current and upcoming events include:

“Tucker Smith: A Celebration of Nature” at the National Sporting Library & Museum (Through Aug. 22): Featuring more than 75 original oils, this exhibition is a true survey of the painter’s life’s work, with pieces ranging from his early years as a professional artist to his most recent paintings.

“Field Notes | Walter Matia” at the National Sporting Library & Museum (June 18- Jan. 9, 2022): Seven large-scale works of wild turkeys, a pointer, a peregrine falcon, mourning doves, blue-winged teal ducks, whooping cranes, and a great blue heron greet visitors throughout the NSLM’s grounds. Two interior galleries feature sculptures, bas reliefs, and a fire screen depicting a variety of sporting dogs and hounds, bison, and wild- and waterfowl.
