Emmanuel Episcopal Church

Emmanuel Church — Open to God. Open to you.

Whoever you are and wherever you come from, we would like you to join us for worship. We think your time with us will encourage and strengthen you. We know your presence here will strengthen us.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church was built in 1842. Our parishioners come from many different backgrounds, nationalities, and careers. We share a longing to see and hear God in the world and Christ in all people. We are inquisitive, welcoming, friendly, nurturing, active in our community, and joyful.

We currently offer services on Wednesday and Sunday via our YouTube and Livestream channels. Prior to the pandemic our in-person services were on Sundays at 8 a.m. (Holy Eucharist: Rite One) and 10:30 a.m. (Holy Eucharist: Rite Two). The latter service included choral singing. Both services included Holy Communion. On Wednesday evenings at 5:30 we offered Evening Prayer. When it is safe to do so we will return to this routine. In the meantime, keep apprised of services and find links to online worship at emmmanuelmiddleburg.org.

Emmanuel Church is involved in a number of community programs including Seven Loaves food pantry, Cub Scouts, AA, Al Anon, and FISH. We also sponsor performing arts, a book group, knit group, senior programs and much more. You do not have to be a member of Emmanuel Church or even an Episcopalian to take part. To learn more call us at 540-687-6297 or write to parishsecretary@emmanuelmiddleburg.org.

We look forward to meeting you.
